The 2014 Thames Ditton High Street Christmas Fair was the best yet drawing a huge crowd of locals and visitors. For a few magical hours on Sunday November 30 we were wowed by the entertainment, enticed by the delicious delicacies and mulled wine and got the chance to shop till we dropped. There was so much to see – Santa in his grotto, Jack Frost spreading his chilly Christmas cheer and the characters from Frozen mingling amongst the crowd.

Then there were our fantastic local choirs, dance troupes, performing arts and fitness groups, the Brownies, the TD Crafters and local charities. Organised by the Retailers’ Association, supported by the Residents’ Association, thanks to everyone who dropped by our stand to say hello and pick up a light wand. The highlight was the switching on of the lime tree lights by local girl and Homes Under the Hammer presenter, Lucy Alexander, which triggered the 43 smaller trees to twinkle away. All in all the perfect start to the Christmas festivities in our village!  Click here to see pictures from the Christmas Fair
